At the start of each season, Neoteric Chamber Winds embarks on a quest to discover, prepare, and perform a concert program of music that most of our audience, and often most of our own ensemble members, probably haven’t ever heard before.

In addition to this yearly “musical archaeology” to find existing compositions that fit our style and mission, the Neoteric Fund for New Composition is a new initiative by Neoteric Chamber Winds to establish a renewing financial resource to aid in the commissioning of new works for our ensemble.

Beginning in 2018, Neoteric Chamber Winds seeks to raise an annual amount of $1234.56 for the establishment of the fund. This total dollar amount, combined with a modest investment schedule at current interest rates, will establish a self-renewing fund that will provide Neoteric Chamber Winds with a minimum of $1,000 every five years to be used toward a new music commission. This commission may be sponsored by Neoteric Chamber Winds alone, or may be undertaken in conjunction with other like-minded entities as part of a consortium, and/or with other additional funding sources.
